It should come as no surprise that the vast majority of Americans are highly motivated to invest their hard-earned dollars to improve the family home. The home improvement industry is robust, to say the least.
The Outdoors are In!
Consumers are fueling new opportunities in outdoor furnishings – outdoor spaces have come into their own as legitimate “rooms” in the American home. And justifiably so. Spending time outdoors is not only good for our body but good for our mind and spirit as well! Luxury outdoor spaces are in high demand from spring through fall. The pandemic catalyzed the already trending desire to make outdoor spaces an extension of our designed interior environments – and if the last year taught us anything, it's that making a great home space is time and money well spent.
As the exterior space becomes the extension of our interior spaces, we are decorating our patios and terraces to look more like our interiors with comfortable furnishings, fun pillows and area rugs. An especially captivating trend we have seen from High Point Market is the introduction of high-end outdoor lighting in the form of weatherproof chandeliers, pendants and lamps. Many of the industry’s best-known names in lighting have added this category to their lines. Some of it is so beautiful that one would want to take it inside as well!
