Having completed a recent renovation in Colorado, I had high expectations of a designer here in NYC. I sought a recommendation from my former design/construction crew who recommended Julie, telling me that beyond the expected design skills she had completed their seminar on aging in place. I was excited that she also specialized in the use of color and feng shui.
My project went beyond the exciting process of renovation. Unexpectedly widowed I relocated from Colorado, downsizing and adjusting to urban life. Rather than building a dream home (I’d done that), I now needed to edit my furnishings and incorporate many of the comforts I had just become accustomed to, where possible. This also had to be done during Covid19 and supply chain restrictions, not to mention the transition from sprawling home to NYC apartment.
Julie exceeded my expectations. She is a true problem solver, and helped me to negotiate some tendentious situations. She was always positive, grounded, and on top of any and all required changes. Her contacts and network speak well of her well-earned reputation. She graciously accepted my preferences and gently guided me from certain mistakes. Her recommended contractor was efficient and reliable. I’m proud to say my modest apartment is a showcase and beyond that, functions well for my everyday life. Thank you Julie.
