On Wednesday October 18th, 2017 Bilotta Kitchens hosted the 7th Annual “Art of the Table” Exhibition. The event featured five interior designers “dedicated to celebrating the fusion of design, art and lifestyle, incorporating the tabletop collections of Replacements, Ltd.” Five distinctive tabletop vignettes were elegantly styled and featured within the expansive Bilotta Kitchens Showroom located within the Architects & Designers Building on East 58th street within the heart of New York City.
I was honored to be the first of five interior designers selected. Other featured designers included Rajni Alex of Rajni Alex Interior Design; Rayman Boozer of Apartment 48; Jennifer Flanders of Jennifer Flanders Inc.; and Asler Valero of Asler Valero Interior Design LLC:
My vignette was titled “Tuscan Garden Party.” I wanted to re-create one of those magical alfresco summer dinners that we all love and cherish. Evenings when the air caresses your skin and the table is tastefully set to welcome family and friends; to break bread, drink wine, and enjoy good conversation over delicious food. One of those nights when the tinkle of crystal glasses is punctuated by the laughter of friends enjoying one another’s company too much for the night to end…
To do this, I carefully selected brands I know and love which were generously provided by Replacements Ltd. while integrating key principles of tabletop Feng Shui. Featured items included:
– “Siena” china pattern by Gail Pittman;
– “Equestrian Braid” flatware by Ralph Lauren;
– “Westhampton” crystal by Waterford;
– Table linens by Sferra;
– Centerpiece of succulents by Jacqueline Elfe of Stellar Style Events; and
– Custom art by Debbie Viola
