2014 International Contemporary Furniture Fair

This year's International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF) was, once again, a show stopper! Held in the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, I was pleasantly lost in the huge space displaying some of the most innovative and fresh merchandise available in today's market. Here are a few of the highlights:

  • Tom Faulkner’s fresh design for dining chairs stopped my in my tracks. His bronze table base makes even this designer’s tired eyes like the look of a tempered glass table again. www.TomFaulkner.co.uk

  • Kriest presented stunning wood based lamps that were sophisticated with a touch of nature. www.Kriest.com

  • Glasscrafters has created a line of fabrics sealed between glass panels that allow for completely personalized applications for your shower. www.GlasscraftersMirroredCabinets.com

  • One of my favorite items at the show is from a Spanish company, Ebir. Their bathroom vanity mirrors come inset with magnifying mirrors, fog free systems, Bluetooth audio and inset LED lighting. www.Ebirusa.com/icff

  • TileBar’s Chameleon Concepts bathroom vanities are fun ways to personalize the storage in your bathroom in beautiful new ways. www.ChameleonConcepts.com

  • MoscoCollection’s wonderful, architectural wood furniture is made with bamboo AND prodcued in the USA….a win/win.

  • Tania Vartan displayed beautiful, handpainted fabric designs that can be mixed to create beautiful coordinated rooms for a chic, London townhouse look.

  • Design icon, Christopher Hyland, was also on hand at his booth on Monday. His display of the best new fabrics available in the market was fresh and exciting.

All in all, I left with tired feet and renewed inspiration. I love my job!
