As 2017 draws to a close, we are offered a moment’s pause for gratitude and reflection. Did you have a successful year? Did you find love and happiness? Did your business grow in the way that you’d hoped it would? One of the important parts of this reflection is to be mindful to practice gratitude for the “wealth” in our lives. And not just material wealth. Be sure to include all of the little joys that elevate every day, as well as the people that have come into our lives in the last year.
Rather than set New Year’s Resolutions for 2018, I am practicing what we call in Feng Shui “The Power of Intention.” You “set your intention” when you aim for positive change in particular areas of your life without necessarily defining the outcome you desire. Part of the Power of Intention is that it brings you to a place you might not have expected. One which opens up new and exciting pathways to happiness and growth in your life.
For me and my interior design business, the Power of Intent is activated by being transparent and honest about the kinds of clients we want to attract in 2018. For me, an “ideal client” is someone who is in need of not only a physical change to their living environment but also an energetic change that is just as beautiful. Being the facilitator and traveling this special path with clients is one of the key things that I am most grateful for.
